Job Summary
The City of Ingelheim am Rhein is seeking a part-time (19.5 hours/week) Environmental Engineer to join their Environmental Protection and Funeral Services Department. This role is crucial for ensuring environmental compliance and sustainability within the municipality. Day-to-day responsibilities include processing immission control approval procedures, managing water quality programs for drinking water and other facilities, and advising other departments on municipal environmental protection issues. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor, Diploma, or Master), preferably with a focus on Environmental Technology or Environmental Protection
Experience
- Professional experience with immission control approval procedures
- Professional experience in organizing sampling programs and ensuring water quality compliance
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is advantageous
- Administrative experience is desirable
- Experience in project-related press and public relations
