Job Summary

This role involves conducting a variety of physical-chemical and analytical investigations on process media, including UV-VIS, HPLC, COD, and TOC measurements. The successful candidate will also be responsible for setting up and maintaining experimental setups for chemical and electrochemical applications, applying biochemical and radiochemical-analytical methods like radio-DSC and LSC, and supporting radiation protection monitoring and declaration tasks. Key responsibilities include meticulous result documentation, quality assurance, and maintaining laboratory facilities and equipment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in electrochemical processes for wastewater treatment and the recovery of strategic elements within a leading European ceramics research institute, Fraunhofer IKTS, known for its application-oriented research and innovative developments.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician, Chemical-Technical Assistant, Chemical Operator, or comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Relevant professional experience in a chemical laboratory or similar environment
  • Experience with handling open radioactive substances and hazardous materials
  • Experience in working independently and as part of a team
