Job Summary

As the Waste Management Manager for Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, you will be responsible for overseeing and developing the university's waste management system. Your day-to-day tasks will involve ensuring legal compliance, designing sustainable disposal concepts, and acting as the central point of contact for all waste disposal inquiries across the university's scientific, teaching, and administrative departments. A key focus will be expanding and maintaining the disposal infrastructure, advancing circular economy initiatives, and managing legal and contractual aspects, including tendering and awarding disposal services to external companies. You will also advise on disposal logistics for construction projects, support water protection efforts, and represent the university in relevant working groups within the Bavarian university network. This role requires a strong background in environmental protection, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a dynamic university environment.
