Job Summary

The State Office for Geoinformation and State Survey of Lower Saxony (LGLN) is seeking an Information Security Team Member in Hannover to strengthen its Information Security Management System (ISMS). This role involves supporting the Information Security Officer in establishing and maintaining a continuous process for planning, managing, and controlling concepts aimed at preserving information security objectives. Day-to-day tasks include risk management, evaluating security concepts, supporting the development of security regulations across personnel, organization, and IT systems, and assisting with internal training on ISMS topics. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a modern, innovative public authority that is modernizing its software landscape and plays a central role in providing geodata services in Lower Saxony. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or FH-Diplom in Computer Science, IT Security, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • 3+ years of practical experience at Bachelor's level for higher salary group
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in systematic risk management (preferably in a large organization)
  • Experience in at least one additional area of information or IT security
  • Knowledge or experience with IT security in the context of Cloud Computing, DevOps, Penetration Testing, or frameworks like OWASP SAMM
  • Knowledge or experience in threat modeling of software artifacts
