Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Biological Technical Assistant to join a microbiology team, focusing on quality-assured work within an accredited environment. The position involves the quantitative and qualitative analysis of food, feed, and water samples for various microorganisms, including pathogens and spoilage germs, following established SOPs. You will also be responsible for DNA extraction and the detection of pathogens and genetically modified organisms (GMOs) using modern Real-time PCR, as well as allergen detection in food via ELISA. The ideal candidate will have a completed BTA or similar qualification, a strong interest in food safety, excellent organizational skills, and a collaborative spirit.
