Job Summary

This role is for an experienced IT Specialist to lead the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) team at the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV) in Cologne, Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical leadership of the VDI team and project work, managing VDI ThinClients using a dedicated management system, and administering Virtual Apps and Desktops. Key tasks include deploying and configuring VDI ThinClients, performing troubleshooting, and providing 3rd-level support. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Diplom [FH]) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field with an IT focus

Experience

  • Experience with virtualization (VMs) and servers
  • Knowledge in software distribution (repository)
  • Experience in project management and technical leadership of a small team
