Job Summary

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the thorough inspection and functional testing of rail vehicles, ensuring all electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems operate correctly. Your daily tasks will involve meticulous documentation of test results, maintaining logs, and managing defect lists. You will analyze complex faults using circuit diagrams, functional schematics, specifications, and technical drawings, and then resolve issues across various domains including pneumatics, electrics, software, and climate control. This role also involves contributing to the continuous improvement of commissioning processes. The ideal candidate will have a background in electronics with further qualification as an electrical engineer, experience with active electrical components, and a strong understanding of safety regulations. You should be prepared for diverse working conditions, including confined spaces, working at heights, and shift work.
