Job Summary
This role involves leading a unit responsible for the preparation, execution, and evaluation of elections at various governmental levels, including European, federal, state, and municipal. The successful candidate will also manage legal matters related to official statistics, providing expert advice, drafting legal opinions, and representing the office in legal disputes. A key part of the role is overseeing the benchmarking of state statistical offices. This position is ideal for a legal or political science professional with leadership experience, strong decision-making skills, and a commitment to public service, offering a challenging and impactful role within the Thuringian State Office for Statistics.
Required Skills
Education
• Completed degree in Law with qualification to serve as a judge (Volljurist) OR • Completed scientific university degree in Law (1st State Examination) OR • Completed scientific university degree (Diplom, Master, or Magister) in Political or Administrative Sciences with a focus on Law • Qualification for the higher non-technical administrative service (desired)
Experience
- Professional experience in a leadership position (desired)
 - Professional experience in public law (desired)
 - At least two years of professional experience if holding a scientific university degree in Law (1st State Examination) or Political/Administrative Sciences with a legal focus
