Job Summary
Join the ICT Airfield Systems team responsible for managing the digital core systems crucial to aircraft handling and apron operations, including critical applications like stand planning, electronic flight strip systems, and the central airport operations database. This senior role involves actively shaping the ICT component of these systems, overseeing the entire lifecycle from planning through implementation to reliable operation. Key responsibilities include leading forward-looking replacement and new procurement projects, professionally implementing changes (e.g., server lifecycle and application extensions) according to Change Management guidelines, and ensuring adherence to ICT architecture and security policies. The successful candidate will act as a competent contact person for Flight Operations and Airport Steering, contributing directly to the smooth daily operations of the airport while working with highly available systems and modern cloud environments.
Required Skills
Education
University of Applied Sciences (FH/HF) degree in Computer Science or equivalent education
Experience
- Professional experience in the maintenance and operation of highly available systems and applications
- Familiarity with the conception and documentation of synchronous and asynchronous communication architectures (e.g., APIs or Messaging Systems)
- Solid foundational knowledge of Azure Cloud, specifically Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS)
- Proven success leading small to medium projects or acting as a central support in large projects
- Experience with aviation processes is advantageous
