Job Summary

The incumbent will act as the Project Manager for Railway Equipment within a major metro system renewal program in Lausanne, aiming to secure the longevity of the m2 metro for the next 30 years. This critical role involves finalizing the design phase and overseeing the technical deployment and optimal integration of railway infrastructure equipment. Key responsibilities include rigorous management and steering of mandates, contractors, suppliers, and industrial partners. The role requires preparing technical tender documents, managing budgets and timelines, and collaborating actively on system design with internal teams and operational teams. This is a unique opportunity to join an innovative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to modernizing an older generation automatic metro system, offering flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work.

Required Skills

Education

Higher degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electronics, or Electrical); Project Management certification is an asset.

Experience

  • Proven experience in managing large-scale engineering projects.
  • Specific experience in the railway or metro domain.
  • Mastery of engineering office environments, client-side project ownership, and railway/industrial operator environments.
  • Relevant local experience is considered a strong asset.
