Job Summary
This role involves developing and validating advanced Machine Learning models specifically tailored for mechanical engineering applications, such as condition monitoring, quality forecasting, and anomaly detection. Operating within the Department of Computer Science at OST, the associate will work closely with engineers to translate complex physical relationships into robust Data Science solutions. Key responsibilities include analyzing and processing sensor and time-series data using tools like SQL, Python, and InfluxDB to derive features and models. The successful candidate will implement these models into productive environments, including Edge devices and Cloud platforms, and visualize results for industrial partners and clients. This position requires a strong foundation in statistics and data science, advanced technical skills, and fluency in both German and English, offering an innovative, applied research environment.
