As an Environmental Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the HKW Heizkraftwerksgesellschaft Cottbus mbH's compliance with environmental regulations and fostering sustainable operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve preparing and submitting various reports to authorities (e.g., according to BEHG and TEHG), managing environmental data, and actively contributing to allocation applications and emissions reporting. You will also be responsible for maintaining and updating the environmental management system, overseeing waste management, and ensuring adherence to environmental laws. Beyond environmental tasks, you will contribute to budget planning, contract management, and quality control for operational and auxiliary materials, and even assist with facilities management.
