Job Summary

This role is for a Research Associate and PhD Candidate at DHBW Mosbach, focusing on intelligent and sustainable energy systems. The successful candidate will be instrumental in setting up and commissioning an intelligent electrical energy system within DHBW Mosbach buildings, with a strong emphasis on DC grids. Day-to-day tasks include developing and testing power electronic systems, energy storage, PV and wind power systems, and bidirectional prosumer solutions in real-world network operations. The position also involves investigating grid-compatible solutions, including DC/DC converters and battery management systems, and optimizing systems using AI in collaboration with the "Digital Factory." This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about power electronics and system integration to contribute to cutting-edge research and pursue a doctorate.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field. Qualification as an electrician is advantageous.

Experience

  • Professional experience in commissioning and developing power electronic systems
  • Experience in holistic system analysis, including simulation and metrological verification
  • Competence in setting up and coordinating DC networks
  • Experience in prototype development, as well as the construction and wiring of control cabinets
