Job Summary
This role is for an ambitious Materials Engineer specializing in plastics technology to join FERCHAU's team, working on exciting projects for various clients. The successful candidate will represent the materials engineering department in interdisciplinary development teams, providing expert advice on materials topics, especially for plastic applications. Key responsibilities include selecting suitable materials based on product requirements, coordinating with material suppliers, and planning and executing material testing procedures. The role involves developing and implementing application-specific testing methods and conducting standardized and specialized material tests on plastics, metals, and composite materials. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Technology, Chemical Engineering, or Process Engineering
Experience
- Professional experience with material-specific analysis and testing procedures
- Experience with material-specific testing and evaluation software is desirable
- Practical experience in material selection and plastics processing
- Knowledge of relevant manufacturing processes is advantageous
