Job Summary

The Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Württemberg (ZSW) is seeking a Head of Electrochemical Fundamentals for its Electrochemical Energy Technologies division in Ulm. This leadership role involves overseeing the Electrochemical Fundamentals (ECG) department, including resource planning, budget control, and ensuring project objectives are met. The successful candidate will act as a key interface with industry partners, scientific institutions, and funding bodies, contributing to the ZSW's innovation process by scouting new research areas and coordinating technology transfer. They will also be responsible for building national and international collaborations and representing the institute at conferences and associations. This position is ideal for a professional passionate about applied research in sustainable energy technologies.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or similar, with a doctorate (PhD). Scientific expertise in at least one of the following areas: Fuel Cells, Electrochemistry, Electrolysis, and Aqueous Batteries.
