Job Summary
The Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz is seeking an exceptionally qualified Rector to assume leadership starting August 2026, guiding the school in its next phase of development as a premier international boarding institution. The successful candidate must possess a strong educational background and a proven track record in high-quality educational management, coupled with a deep passion for delivering a holistic education based on core values like integrity and excellence. The Rector will be accommodated on-site, providing visible, hands-on leadership, and fully immersing themselves in the school community. Key responsibilities involve ensuring world-class educational and pastoral care, leading curriculum development across international and Swiss Matura programs, and overseeing all operational aspects, including strategy implementation, financial planning, and the intelligent introduction of artificial intelligence. This strategic role requires fluent English skills and the willingness to acquire German proficiency.
Required Skills
Education
Master of Arts in Pedagogy or Educational Management, or an equivalent Swiss/European degree.
Experience
- Minimum five years of leadership experience in a boarding school setting, preferably in Europe or international programs worldwide
- Proven track record in high-quality educational institutions
- Experience in leading curriculum development and implementing pedagogical best practices
- Demonstrated experience in strategic thinking and high organizational capability
- Prior experience as a School Principal is preferred, but other relevant leadership experience is welcome
