Job Summary
This role is for an IT Service and System Administrator to join the "Information Technology" department of the State Office for Metrology and Verification NRW (LBME NRW) in Cologne. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure, as well as driving the development and transformation towards IT services. Day-to-day tasks include administering complex IT systems, managing Active Directory, virtualization environments, and network infrastructure, and handling 2nd level support requests. The position offers a chance to contribute to consumer protection and fair competition by supporting the digitalization of metrology, working in a team of IT enthusiasts, and benefiting from flexible working conditions and continuous professional development.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor/Diplom (FH)) in Information Technology or a comparable field, OR a completed 3-year vocational training in IT.

- Professional experience with Windows servers

- Professional experience with virtualization environments
- Professional experience with IT security
- Professional experience in managing IT services (e.g., ITIL)
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience (if holding a 3-year IT vocational training)
