Job Summary

The Institute of Anatomy at Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant (PhD) to join the Cardiovascular and Renal research group. The successful candidate will contribute to projects investigating the development of hypertension and edema formation in kidney diseases, and identifying signaling networks regulating endocytosis. Day-to-day tasks will involve extensive cell culture, biochemical and molecular biology methods, animal experiments, histological staining, and advanced microscopic analyses. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, international environment with access to world-class facilities and interact with global scientific leaders, while pursuing a PhD in a dynamic research setting.

Required Skills

Education

Master or Diploma in Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Cell or Molecular Biology, or a closely related field

Experience

  • Previous experience with basic biochemical and molecular biology techniques
  • Basic understanding of mammalian cells and cell culturing
  • Basic understanding of animal experiments
  • Experience in student teaching (advantageous)
