Job Summary
This role involves defining and developing surface treatment processes for high-performance aerospace products, with a specific focus on optimizing adhesive bonds between metal liners and CFRP overwraps. The successful candidate will standardize surface cleaning and pre-treatment processes across the company and lead the advancement of surface pre-treatment methods (physical, chemical) and preservation processes like priming. Day-to-day tasks include documenting, analyzing, and optimizing process parameters to ensure consistent quality, as well as collaborating closely with quality and manufacturing teams to resolve deviations. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Materials Science, or comparable qualification
Experience
- Professional experience with adhesives and surface chemistry
- Experience with surface treatments (e.g., blasting, plasma, chemical degreasing)
- Familiarity with metal-to-CFRP connections and their specific challenges
