Job Summary

The Technical University of Aschaffenburg is seeking a Research Associate to join its Faculty of Engineering Sciences and Computer Science. This role focuses on applied research and development in environmental perception and situation prediction for autonomous mobile vehicles. The successful candidate will build and operate a simulation platform, secure and execute cooperation projects with industry and research partners, and support the AI Competence Center's hardware/software platform. Additionally, responsibilities include assisting with research data management, supervising student theses, and independently conducting teaching activities like exercises and lab practicals. Required Skills

Education

Master of Science or Master of Engineering in Electrical and Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybernetics, Mechatronics, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field. For degrees obtained abroad, a ZAB certificate evaluation is required.

Experience

  • Professional experience in applied research and development in environmental perception and situation prediction for autonomous mobile vehicles
  • Experience in building and operating simulation platforms
  • Experience in acquiring and conducting cooperation projects with industry, research, and universities
  • Experience in data analysis, handling large data volumes, and real-time data processing
  • Programming experience in Python and/or C/C++ and/or ROS1/ROS2
