Job Summary

This role involves performing mechanical materials testing within a laboratory setting for a leading industrial company in power plant construction. The successful candidate will operate creep testing facilities and conduct tensile and impact tests. With relevant experience, the role also includes performing cyclic fatigue tests (LCF) using servo-hydraulic testing machines. Education

Completed apprenticeship as an Industrial Mechanic, Metalworker, Construction Mechanic, or Locksmith with further training as a Technician or Industrial Master (Metall)

Experience

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in materials testing
  • Professional experience as a Materials Tester or a completed apprenticeship as an Industrial Mechanic, Metalworker, Construction Mechanic, or Locksmith with further training as a Technician or Industrial Master (Metall) with experience in destructive testing of metallic materials
  • Practical experience in operating servo-hydraulic testing machines and/or creep testing facilities (advantageous)
