Job Summary
This role is for a dedicated Civil Engineer specializing in water management and hydraulic engineering within the Lower Saxony State Department for Water Management, Coastal and Nature Conservation (NLWKN) in Hildesheim. The successful candidate will be instrumental in planning and implementing projects focused on river development, flood protection, and other water management initiatives. Day-to-day tasks involve preparing preliminary studies and concepts, managing planning and construction supervision across all phases of HOAI (Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers), providing expert advice, conducting surveying, and handling funding applications. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Dipl.-Ing. (U/TU) or Master of Science / Engineering) in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Management or Hydraulic Engineering, or Environmental Sciences / Environmental Engineering with comparable specializations, or a comparable degree.
Experience
- Professional experience in planning and implementing water management measures in surface waters, preferably in river development and flood protection
- Several years of experience in planning hydraulic engineering projects
