Job Summary
This role involves ensuring the compliance of electrical devices and components with national and international standards and regulations. The Certification Engineer will be responsible for the re-certification of existing series and initial certification for new products, addressing conformity issues, and qualifying components. Key responsibilities include planning, organizing, documenting, and supporting certification projects globally, as well as advising on normative design and testing requirements during development. The ideal candidate will define test procedures for internal validation and certification, stay updated on legal requirements, and collaborate closely with development, engineering, and product management teams. Required Skills
Education
Completed degree or vocational training in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or further training as a Technician/Industrial Master in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Power Electronics and Electrical Drive Technology, Electronics and Microelectronics, or equivalent.
Experience
- Professional experience in the development and testing of electrical switchgear
- Experience in evaluating design and testing requirements for products
- Professional experience with national and international norms and guidelines
- Initial professional experience in the certification of devices
- Professional experience in assessing products regarding testing requirements in industrial electronics
- Experience with design and testing requirements for electrical or mechatronic products in a standards-compliant development environment
- Experience collaborating with national and international certification bodies
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to travel occasionally for domestic and international trips.
