Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated and experienced professional to lead the Water Ecology Department within the State Office for Environment in Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate. You will be responsible for managing and evaluating statewide monitoring programs for the biological assessment of flowing and standing waters, conducting and evaluating ad-hoc water investigations for pollution documentation, and assessing substance and heat discharges. The position involves providing expert advice, preparing reports for ministries and licensing authorities, and collaborating in international committees.
