Job Summary

This role involves providing technical and conceptual consulting to hospital operators, focusing on the construction and investment financing of hospitals from state funds and federal programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical review of communal, non-profit, and private hospital construction projects, including ongoing construction supervision and verification of usage. Additionally, the engineer will support other health department units with construction-related inquiries and contribute to the 'Beyond Expediency' project, aimed at developing new working principles for future healthcare construction. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within an interdisciplinary team comprising professionals from architecture, engineering, law, administration, finance, statistics, and healthcare, contributing to the public good in Schleswig-Holstein.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Building Technology, Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Supply Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) OR Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Technical Expansion, Building Physics, and Technical Building Equipment OR Bachelor's degree in Architecture with relevant further training/specialization in Technical Building Equipment.

Experience

  • Professional experience in hospital technology and healthcare construction (desirable)
  • Holistic understanding of complex technical interrelationships, especially regarding heating, cooling, ventilation, and/or sanitary technology, including relevant guidelines, regulations, and standards (desirable)
