Job Summary
This role offers an exciting opportunity for an IT Administrator to join a dynamic team in Jülich, focusing on the reliable operation and continuous development of internal IT systems and high-tech solutions. You will be instrumental in ensuring smooth IT operations for over 150 employees and hundreds of computers across multiple buildings. Key responsibilities include planning, conceiving, and implementing new IT structures, optimizing existing systems, and administering servers (Windows, Linux) and clients (Windows, Linux, macOS). The position also involves user consultation, training, minor programming tasks, and the operation of specialized applications like CAD or web systems. This is a 3-month fixed-term project with a strong option for extension, providing a great chance to gain valuable experience in a technology-oriented environment with long-term career prospects.
Required Skills
Education
Completed IT apprenticeship, e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration, or comparable qualification
Experience
- Professional experience in IT systems and network administration
- Familiarity with current operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- Familiarity with Windows Servers
- Initial exposure to VMware, databases (e.g., MariaDB), CAD systems, or Content Management Systems (desirable)
