This role invites a strategic and analytical professional to actively shape the digital future of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft's administration. The Business Engineer will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and evaluating potential digital optimization across various government processes and structures, providing critical foundations for decision-making. Key responsibilities include initiating, steering, and implementing complex digitalization projects and programs, managing resources, and advising stakeholders. Candidates must possess a university degree in Business Informatics or Business Administration, coupled with advanced training in Business Engineering focusing on digital transformation (e.g., EMBA or MAS). Success requires several years of experience consulting on digital transformation or ICT strategy, ideally within the public or a highly regulated sector. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (e.g., Business Informatics or Business Administration) combined with advanced training in Business Engineering focusing on Digital Transformation (e.g., EMBA or MAS) or equivalent qualification.

Experience

  • Several years of experience consulting on digital transformation or ICT strategy, ideally within the public sector or in complex, regulated organizations
  • Practical experience in process and project management
  • Knowledge of current project management methods (e.g., HERMES) is beneficial
