Job Summary
This role involves driving digital transformation within municipal administrations in the Cologne region, acting as a crucial link between IT, administrative staff, leadership, and external stakeholders. The Digitalization Officer will assess digital maturity, develop and implement digitalization strategies, and lead or support IT and digitalization projects. Key responsibilities also include optimizing business processes, managing change, coordinating key actors, and providing training and consultation. The ideal candidate will possess strong IT affinity, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, analytical mindset, with a focus on implementing best practices to enhance public sector efficiency and service delivery.
Required Skills
Education
Completed IT-related vocational training or a degree with an information technology focus; alternatively, a degree in public administration or relevant experience for career changers.
Experience
- Experience in planning and implementing IT and digitalization projects
- Experience in developing concepts for IT and digitalization projects
- Professional experience in IT or organizational areas of public administration (desirable)
- Knowledge and experience in process and change management (desirable)
Languages

- Valid driver's license (PKW-Führerschein) and willingness to work on-site at various municipalities in the Düren district.
