This role involves the comprehensive management and operation of laboratories specializing in melting technology, microscopy, and analytics. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various lab equipment, handling chemicals, and utilizing software for calculating batch and glass properties, alongside ensuring compliance with safety regulations. A key aspect of the position is active participation in publicly funded projects, contract research, and service provision for industrial partners, collaborating with internal teams and external experts to advance glass melting technologies and materials. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Glass or Material Sciences, or related fields. Alternatively, completed vocational training in a craft with further qualification as a Master Craftsman or Technician.
