This role is for a Radar Electronics Mechanic responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of large-area primary and secondary radar systems, including associated peripheral equipment. Key responsibilities involve commissioning and decommissioning radar systems, performing complex troubleshooting, error analysis, and component modifications on equipment such as Groundmaster 406F, MSSR 2000, and DR RAMOS. The position requires meticulous documentation of all work according to operational procedures and participation in ongoing training. Candidates must have a relevant electrical or electronics vocational degree and be willing to undertake shift work. Required Skills
Education
Vocational training as an Electromechanic for Devices and Systems, Electronics Technician for Information and Telecommunications Technology, Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering, Building and Infrastructure Systems, or Automation Technology, or a comparable vocational qualification. Completion of the "Radarelektronik Mechaniker GroundmasterGM406F Anforderungsniveau 2" course, or willingness to acquire it.
Experience
- Professional experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of radar systems
- Experience with Groundmaster 406F, MSSR 2000, and DR RAMOS radar systems is beneficial
- Experience with complex troubleshooting and error analysis
- Experience in documenting technical work

- Willingness to participate in regular and advanced training. Willingness to perform shift work. Commitment to the liberal democratic basic order as per the German Basic Law. Agreement to participate in a health suitability assessment and an extended security clearance (Ü2-Verschlusssachen) as per the German Security Clearance Act. Successful security clearance is mandatory. Must be able to work on-site.
