Job Summary

This role involves overseeing and maintaining critical geological infrastructure, including regular site visits to drilling locations in Hannover and Horstberg, ensuring IT systems are functional, and coordinating necessary maintenance and inspections. The successful candidate will also be responsible for designing and evolving data models and IT infrastructure for subsurface data, developing automated workflows, and enhancing tools for data processing and conversion using technologies like FME. A key part of the role includes the independent design, maintenance, and administration of database systems, such as SQL or Emerson EPOS, alongside general IT infrastructure support. This position is ideal for a professional with a background in electrical engineering, information technology, or geoinformatics, who possesses strong technical skills in measurement techniques, application programming, and database management, and is looking for a stable, full-time position within a federal government agency.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Geoinformatics, or a comparable technical or engineering discipline

Experience

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in handling measurement techniques
  • Experience in application programming
  • Experience in designing and setting up database systems
