Job Summary

This role involves maintaining human stem cell cultures and generating advanced 3D in vitro models like organoids and organ-on-a-chip systems. The technician will conduct molecular biology experiments, advanced imaging, and manage cellular biobanks, reagents, and lab organization. A key aspect is contributing to the development of automated culture platforms and documenting all procedures and results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of interdisciplinary organoid research within an international and collaborative environment at Heidelberg University, leveraging cutting-edge facilities and expertise through the POEM network. Required Skills

Education

BTA/MTA (Biologisch-technischer Assistent / Medizinisch-technischer Assistent), Laboratory assistant with long-standing experience, or Bachelor’s degree in biology, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, or a related field

Experience

  • Extensive hands-on experience in human iPSC or mammalian cell culture
  • Professional experience in iPSC differentiation, organoid biology, or organ-on-a-chip technology (preferred)
