Job Summary
This research associate position at the Medical School Brandenburg Theodor Fontane offers a unique opportunity for a biologist, biochemist, or related professional to contribute to cutting-edge translational immunology research. The role involves hands-on work with blood and tumor samples, analyzing mRNA and protein expression, and ensuring the structural integrity of these samples. A key part of the job is developing and overseeing bioinformatic analysis of high-throughput data, establishing in vitro tumor models, and creating antibody panels for multiplex immunohistochemistry. The successful candidate will also mentor medical doctoral students and technical assistants, plan and execute experiments, and contribute to scientific publications and grant applications, all within a dynamic and supportive team environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Nutritional Sciences, Medicine or comparable; Doctorate (PhD) is advantageous
Experience
- Professional experience in a comparable research position is desirable
- Experience in standard molecular biological and immunological methods
- Experience in bioinformatic analysis of high-throughput data
- Experience in establishing organoids
