Job Summary

This role is for a Technical Assistant to join the Cellular Phenotyping Platform at the Helmholtz Institute for Translational Oncology (HI-TRON) in Mainz. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing, optimizing, and validating single-cell phenotyping assays, with a strong focus on high-parameter spectral flow cytometry. Day-to-day tasks include processing clinical samples, operating state-of-the-art flow cytometry equipment like the BD FACSAria Fusion Cell Sorter and Cytek Aurora 5L Spectral Cytometer, and assisting scientists with cell sorting. The position also involves managing platform operations, including inventory and reagent tracking, and meticulous documentation to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
