Job Summary
Join the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) as a Data Modeler, contributing to public health in Germany by developing and optimizing data models for precise data analysis and efficient processing. You will collaborate closely with Data Engineers, epidemiologists, and data providers to establish standardized data structures, integrate new models into existing systems, and drive data standardization within a nationwide data ecosystem for syndromic surveillance. This role involves managing interface implementations, piloting new data sender connections, and developing release processes for data model changes, including version management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information modeling, data management standards, and system integration, with a keen interest in clinical processes and healthcare interoperability standards.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or university diploma in Computer Science, Medical Informatics, Data Engineering, Data Management, Database Design, Mathematics, Statistics, Bioinformatics, or a related natural science field.
Experience
- Relevant professional experience in information modeling, data structure modeling, and data management standards
- Experience in interface development and system integration, preferably in healthcare
- Experience with databases and SQL (desirable)
- Experience in version management and managing data model changes in ongoing systems (desirable)
