Materials Tester | Werkstoffprüfer (m/w/d)

Job Summary

This role involves conducting a wide range of material tests and analyses, focusing on mechanical, physical, and metallographic properties of steel and other materials. You'll perform various hardness tests (HB, HRC, HV), tensile and impact tests, and ultrasonic testing (UT) on semi-finished products and components. A key part of the job is creating detailed test reports and conducting laboratory investigations, including analyzing process media and checking component cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have a formal qualification as a Materials Tester, preferably with UT Level 1 certification or a willingness to achieve it. Strong knowledge of material science, specifically steel production, heat treatment, and surface hardening processes, is essential.
