Job Summary

As an Electrical Drives Developer at Brunel, you will work on cutting-edge aerospace projects, handling pre-development and development tasks for electrical drive systems. Your day-to-day involves planning and coordinating development activities within project teams, performing requirements engineering according to aerospace-specific processes, and dimensioning, simulating, and documenting complex electrical drive systems. You will also commission, optimize, and validate these systems, support projects with cost and schedule considerations, and coordinate technically with electronics hardware manufacturers. The role requires a degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, control engineering, embedded systems, drive technology, or aerospace engineering. Experience with simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink and requirements management tools is essential. Initial experience in electrical drive development, ideally in international projects, is a plus. Knowledge of aerospace development processes, commissioning, fault analysis, debugging, instrumentation, and complex COTS (e.g., microcontrollers, DSPs, PLDs, FPGAs) is advantageous. This position offers a permanent contract, 30 vacation days, flexible working hours, remote work options, and extensive training opportunities.
