Job Summary
The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation is seeking a Program Officer to join their Selection Department, focusing on Physics, Engineering, and Mathematics. In this role, you will be instrumental in evaluating grant applications, providing expert assessments, and coordinating the selection process for international researchers. Key responsibilities include preparing office assessments, leading the Physics subject group, coordinating institutional addresses in Germany, and managing the Wolfgang Paul Lecture program. This position requires a strong academic background in Physics, relevant research or professional experience in science management, and excellent leadership and communication skills. You will contribute to fostering international scientific collaboration in a supportive and diverse environment, helping to build bridges for a better society.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or higher in Physics. Doctorate is desirable.

- Located in Bonn, Germany. This is a part-time position (29.25 hours/week) with an unlimited contract. The selection process includes a practical situation exercise with a presentation, a role-play, and a personal interview, with a portion of the interview conducted in English.
