Job Summary

This role involves ensuring internal security in North Rhine-Westphalia by contributing to the development and maintenance of networked communication systems for police control centers. The specialist will conduct system analyses, optimize IP-based network connections, and clarify fundamental technical questions regarding communication systems and their interfaces. Key responsibilities also include analyzing project documentation, creating performance specifications, and managing troubleshooting processes. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher in Communication Technology, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, (Technical) Computer Science, or a comparable technical/natural science field; OR State-certified Technician, (Industrial) Master, or Operative Professional qualification in the mentioned fields; OR Relevant vocational training in the mentioned fields.

Experience

  • 3+ years of relevant engineering professional experience (if Technician/Meister/Operative Professional qualification)
  • 6+ years of relevant professional experience (if vocational training background)
  • Professional experience in system analysis and optimization
  • Experience with troubleshooting processes in ticket systems
  • Experience with maintenance and servicing of communication systems
  • Experience with 24/7 on-call duties

Additional

  • Valid Class B driver's license; Willingness to undertake 24/7 on-call duties; Willingness to undergo an extended security clearance (Ü 2 Sabotage Protection), requiring residency in Germany or an EU member state for at least five years; Successful occupational medical suitability assessment (Risk Class 2) due to work in oxygen-reduced rooms.
