Job Summary

This role is for a proactive and innovative Team Lead / Head of IT Department, responsible for driving the digital transformation of the City of Herrenberg's administration. The successful candidate will lead a 9-person IT department, overseeing IT administration, infrastructure, support, and kindergarten IT, ensuring secure, stable, and future-proof operations. Key responsibilities include strategic development of IT infrastructure, network and server expansion, modernization of communication systems, and implementation of the municipal digital strategy, including a cloud-first approach. The role also involves significant responsibility for IT service desk quality assurance and shaping the cybersecurity and data security strategy, including backup and UPS strategies. This position offers the chance to actively shape IT processes, implement modern technologies like MS365 and AI, and work with a high degree of flexibility.
