Job Summary

This Postdoctoral Researcher role at GESIS, the Leibniz Institute for Social Sciences, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in Computational Social Science. Required Skills

Education

Doctorate (PhD) and university degree (Diploma, Master or similar) in a field relevant to Computational Social Science, e.g., Applied Computer Science, Statistics, Political Science, Communication Science, Psychology, Sociology, or related disciplines.

Experience

  • International visible research profile in Computational Social Science
  • Established international networking in relevant CSS research communities
  • Experience in developing open-source applications for social science questions
  • Experience and knowledge in Open Science, Web Scraping, AI/LLMs, and/or multimodal data analysis with R and/or Python
  • Experience with and interest in working on CSS infrastructure projects (advantageous)
