Job Summary
As the Responsible Electrical Specialist (VEFK) at the University Medical Center Freiburg, you will hold overall technical responsibility for electrical operational safety. Your day-to-day role involves ensuring legal compliance, managing electrical standards (DIN VDE), and overseeing the qualification and training of technical personnel. You will act as a key interface between departments, coordinating external contractors, conducting risk assessments, and defining safety concepts and emergency plans for electrical facilities. Additionally, you will support the lifecycle management of electrical systems, from planning and commissioning to maintenance and documentation. Required Skills
Education
Completed advanced training as a state-certified technician, electrical master craftsman, or a university degree (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) in Electrical Engineering.
Experience
- Several years of practical experience in the construction, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
- Professional experience in a healthcare or clinical environment is highly desirable
- Experience in the technical leadership of personnel
- Experience in the coordination and management of external service providers

Additional
- Must possess deep knowledge of relevant electrotechnical standards (DIN VDE 1000-10, DIN VDE 0105-100, DIN VDE 0100-710, DGUV V3/MTK/STK). Ability to represent complex technical issues to executive management is required.
