Job Summary

This role involves joining the IT department of the Episcopal Ordinariate as a key member of the central IT service team. You will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and further development of the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud services, and end-user devices. Your daily responsibilities include monitoring system health, performing troubleshooting, managing updates and patches, and providing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-level support to staff. You will also play an active role in implementing IT projects such as Microsoft 365 migrations and backup strategy optimizations. This position is ideal for a service-oriented professional who enjoys automating processes via scripting and documenting technical workflows. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Computer Science (Bachelor or Master) or completed professional IT vocational training with relevant work experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the operation and administration of IT systems (servers, networks, storage, backup, operating systems)
  • Experience in participating in IT projects and technical documentation
  • Experience in Microsoft environments (Microsoft 365, Windows Server)
  • Experience in automation of administrative tasks via scripting

Additional

  • Identification with the goals and values of the Catholic Church and the prevention principles of the Diocese of Speyer is required. Must be eligible to work in Germany.
