As a Senior Specialist in Dangerous Goods Classification, you will be the functional expert ensuring global compliance for product transportation. Your daily tasks will involve identifying and interpreting relevant dangerous goods regulations, then designing and implementing global concepts to ensure adherence. You will play a crucial role in digitalizing, automating, and harmonizing global dangerous goods processes, focusing on an end-to-end view. This position requires monitoring upcoming regulations and developing IT implementation concepts accordingly. You will actively engage with a global dangerous goods community, interacting with stakeholders across the transportation process. Leveraging your operational skills, you will perform dangerous goods classification for products, raw materials, and merchandise, identifying opportunities for process improvement. The role demands a strong background in chemical engineering, chemistry, or logistics, coupled with expert knowledge and certifications in dangerous goods regulations, and proficiency in SAP EHS.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Logistics, or comparable field
Experience
- Several years of experience in the chemical industry or related fields (e.g., Supply Chain Management)
- Expert knowledge of Dangerous Goods proven by necessary certifications (ADR, IMDG, IATA)
- Experience in Dangerous Goods classification
