Job Summary

This role is for a proactive and innovative Team Lead / Head of IT Department who will drive digital transformation within the Herrenberg city administration. The successful candidate will lead a 9-person IT team, overseeing IT administration, infrastructure, support, and Kita-IT, ensuring a secure, stable, and future-proof IT operation. They will be responsible for strategically expanding network and server infrastructure, modernizing communication systems, and implementing the municipal digital strategy, including a Cloud-First approach. A key focus will be on quality assurance for the IT Service Desk and actively shaping the cybersecurity and data security strategy, including backup and UPS strategies. This position offers significant scope for design and the opportunity to work with modern IT infrastructure, including AI integration and MS365, promoting a flexible work environment with home office and mobile work options.
