Job Summary

This role involves leading the oversight of GenTG S1 and S2 facilities within a new research building, focusing on in vitro and in vivo processes for innovative Healthcare R&D. The Project Leader will be responsible for concept generation, implementation, and execution of genetic engineering processes, ensuring full legal compliance. This includes managing biosafety documentation, conducting training, establishing operating procedures, and serving as the primary contact for biosafety and EHS organizations. The role requires close collaboration with scientists and technicians in a matrix organization, supporting cutting-edge projects in Oncology and Neurology & Immunology. The ideal candidate will drive digitalization of documentation and stay updated on new genetic engineering technologies, including viral vectors. Required Skills

Education

PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related areas. Qualification according to "Infection Protection Act §44 and 47" is a plus. Ideally, Project Leader certification according to §28 Genetic Engineering Safety Ordinance (GenTSV).

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an S2 facility
  • Extensive experience with genetic modifications of cell lines and primary cells (overexpression, CRISPR, lentiviral transduction, AAVs)
  • Professional experience in project management
