As a Lead Enterprise Architect for Mission-Critical IT, you will serve as a key driver for the digital transformation of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). Operating within the Enterprise IT Architecture & Portfolio unit, you will be responsible for defining strategic reference architectures and architectural principles that ensure a secure and efficient IT landscape. Your day-to-day involves translating strategic visions into concrete IT roadmaps, guiding cluster programs, and making binding architectural decisions to maintain a unified infrastructure. You will act as a central interface between technical teams and top management, ensuring that all IT services align with military operational requirements. Required Skills

Education

Completed IT-related degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable STEM subjects; alternatively, an equivalent completed vocational training.

Experience

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience as an Enterprise or Solution Architect following graduation
  • Extensive experience in cross-technology IT environments
  • Proven experience in communicating and collaborating with middle and top management
  • Experience in the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) or public authority environment is preferred
  • Experience in methodical, economic, and solution-oriented project execution
