As a System Engineer for Managed Systems and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), you will be responsible for the operation and continuous development of virtualized environments for a renowned client in Frankfurt. Your day-to-day activities involve installing and configuring VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter servers, managing virtual machines, and overseeing SAN/NAS storage solutions. You will also play a critical role in data security by implementing backup strategies using Veeam and maintaining Windows Active Directory structures. This role is ideal for technical professionals who enjoy troubleshooting complex Layer 2 network issues and ensuring high system availability through KPI-based monitoring. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training or university degree in Computer Science, System Administration, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in VMware administration including ESXi and vCenter
  • Solid experience in storage management and virtualization optimization
  • Proven experience with Windows Server environments and Active Directory
  • Practical experience in network engineering and security (VLAN, Switching)
  • Experience in implementing backup strategies and recovery testing
  • Experience in system monitoring and generating technical reports
