Job Summary
Join the German Aerospace Center (DLR) as a Telecommunication Engineer, contributing to the cutting-edge field of Responsive Space. This role involves analyzing and developing innovative concepts for RF signal acquisition on small satellites and integrating payloads into satellite platforms, with a focus on electronic and software integration. You will define standards, interfaces, and protocols, and develop rapid-response solutions for satellite integration, conducting scientific testing through technology missions. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in engineering, expertise in communication systems and RF signal sources, and strong programming skills in C/C++. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree / university diploma in engineering (e.g., aerospace engineering, telecommunications technology, information technology) or other relevant degree programs; doctorate desirable
Experience
- Professional experience in communication systems, especially related to satellite systems
- Knowledge in RF signal sources and their classification
- Experience in designing antennas and programming software defined radios (SDR)
- Sound knowledge in the development of software for satellite subsystems
- Experience in the development and handling of server applications (e.g., Deamons, containers)
