Job Summary

This role is ideal for an ambitious scientist specializing in Downstream Processing within the Pharmaceutical and Life Science sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for the downstream process development of recombinant cells and proteins. Key daily tasks include the independent planning, execution, and evaluation of experiments, adhering strictly to Quality by Design (QbD) principles. You will also contribute to the development of experimental study designs, such as Design of Experiments (DoEs), and manage the preparation and analysis of various samples, recombinant cells, and cell culture media. The position requires hands-on experience with analytical and laboratory equipment for chromatography, filtration, and flow cytometry, including High Throughput DSP techniques. This is an attractive opportunity to apply statistical analysis skills (JMP, R) in a flexible environment, contributing actively to complex development projects for leading clients.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in (Molecular) Biology, Chemistry, or another natural science field

Experience

  • Professional experience in Downstream Processes
  • Experience with various analytical or preparative methods (e.g., preparative chromatography, filtration)
  • Experience in handling samples (procurement, collection, preparation, and distribution)
  • Experience using software for statistical analysis (e.g., JMP, R) and lab-specific software
